Quality & Food Safety Leader

I have pursued a challenging and fulfilling career in Food Manufacturing as a Quality & Food Safety professional. After returning home from a military deployment in 2014 and graduating college, I had the opportunity to begin leading in a professional environment. I have been fortunate to have worked under great mentors and with great peers over the years and have had the opportunity to steadily progress through roles with differing degrees of responsibility and strategy development. I look forward to continuing to work in this area which I have demonstrated success and can utilize my passion for continuous improvement, leadership, problem solving and quality management systems on a daily basis.

Quality Assurance Technician

2014-2016

At Honeyville, Inc. I learned the fundamentals of food safety & quality management in the food industry. I led internal audits, verified product specifications and performed critical tasks to maintaining a site HACCP program. I worked with operations, warehouse and maintenance to deliver the day-to-day quality objectives.

Plant Services & Sanitation Supervisor

2016-2019

In this role I took responsibility for three teams of Sanitation workers that serviced the food facility 24/7. I also oversaw contracted site services including Janitorial, Pest Control and Supply Ordering. I further developed my Quality & Food Safety expertise and was able to implement my leadership experience from the military in a professional setting. I demonstrated effectiveness and developing high performance work teams with an improvement mindset.

Site Quality Assurance Manager

2019-2022

I took responsibility for all elements of Quality and Food Safety functions at the manufacturing facility including directly managing Quality and Sanitation staff for the entire site as well as indirectly managing the Quality deliverables of more than 300 site workers. I learned to work cross functionally and how to indirectly influence peers, superiors and key stakeholders to supporting Quality & Food Safety Objectives. I developed site Quality objectives and trained/developed future leaders in the organization.

Senior Quality Assurance Manager (Multi-site)

2022-Present

I was promoted to Senior Quality Assurance Manager for Ohio Campbells Snacks bakeries. In this role I manage the Quality & Food Safety deliverables for two production sites that have a combined population of more than 1,000 food manufacturing workers. I am directly responsible for Quality Assurance and Sanitation staff at both sites as well as all commercialization and technical support activities related to new and existing products. I develop and deploy the site Quality Management System and Quality Strategy for both locations. I am accountable for consumer complaints, right first time quality, regulatory compliance, 3rd party certifications and sanitation execution in support of facility operations.
